The Ocala/Marion County Shakespeare in the Park Festival is a gift to the community created to establish a cultural event that is free, fun, and educational for the entire family. The day-long event will feature several free performances as well as a small, but growing Renaissance style festival.
We are currently on the lookout for vendors/merchants and others who would like to be a part of our Festival. All must follow our Renaissance theme. We are also looking for community and business sponsors to help our event grow in its second year!

Ocala’s Shakespeare in the Park presents two performances of two different works either written by or inspired by William Shakespeare. In 2016 we presented As You Like It and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). We’ll be announcing 2017’s performances soon!
In addition we’re partnering with other organizations to present other family-friendly live entertainment throughout the day. You never know what you’ll see!
We’re working hard to bring in several Renaissance Fair style elements including live demonstrations, educational workshops, vendors and more throughout the day. We’re also hoping to bring The Labyrinth (a maze for the kids) as well as a real-life Mermaid’s Cove! You’ll be sure to find something new and exciting to do at Shakespeare in the Park!
An event so large we take up half of Tuscawilla Park!
